The former Brazilian president detained after being deemed a flight risk

Bolsonaro has been arrested after authorities determined he posed a definite escape threat while under home confinement.

The one-time leader was sentenced of plotting a government overthrow in September and sentenced more than 27 years in prison, but he was staying under house arrest pending appeals.
